Check your PHP version

Four ways to find the PHP version your site is running. Pick the one that matches your host.

cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Software → Select PHP Version.
  3. The active version appears at the top.

Plesk

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Go to Domains → your domain → PHP Settings.
  3. The version is shown on the page.

WordPress Site Health

  1. In WordPress admin go to Tools → Site Health.
  2. Click the Info tab.
  3. Expand Server. PHP version is listed there.

SSH

  1. SSH into your server.
  2. Run: php -v
  3. The first line prints the PHP version.

A matching version number does not prove a site is safe — some hosts patch under a different version. Confirm with your host.
